Causes

An incorrect input has been
selected on the monitor.

The video system is not
selected correctly.

The disc does not have PBC
function.

The random or repeat play
back is activated.

The unit is in PBC playback.

The audio channel is not
selected appropriately.

No MP3 files are recorded on
the disc.

MP3 files do not have the
extension code—mp3 in their
file names.

MP3 files are not recorded in
the format compliant with ISO
9660 Level 1 or Joliet.

The format of MP3 files is not
compatible with the unit.

This unit can only display the
Roman characters , numbers,
and a limited number of
symbols.

The file played back is not an
MP3 file (although it has the
extension code—mp3).

The format of MP3 files is not
compatible with the unit.

Readout time varies due to
the complexity of the folder/file
configuration.

Remedies

Select the correct input on the
monitor.

Select the correct video system
(see page 24).

Use PBC function when playing
back discs compatible with PBC.

Turn off the random or repeat
play mode.

Press PBC button to turn off
PBC function (see page 15).

Select the appropriate audio
channel (see page 16).

Change the disc.

Add the extension code
—mp3 to their file names.

Change the disc.
(Record MP3 files using a
compliant application.)

Record MP3 files in a compatible
format. Refer also to the manual

File MP3” (separate volume).

Skip to another file or change
the disc. (Do not add the

while playing back a VCD.

• The VCD's sound does not

come out correctly.

• Disc cannot be played back.

• Folder/file names are not

displayed correctly.

• Noise is generated.

• A longer readout time is

required.
