Removing Tractor From Storage

1. Check tyre inflation pressure. (See Wheels, Tyres

and Treads section.) Lower tyres to ground.

2. Unseal all openings sealed in “Storing Tractor”.

3. Install battery.

4. Remove ties or block which secured clutch pedal

down.

5. Check levels of engine oil, transmission-hydraulic

oil, and engine coolant, Add if necessary.

6. Drain a small amount of fuel from fuel tank to purge

any moisture condensation that has collected.

7. Fill fuel tank.

8. Perform all appropriate 10-hour, 50-hour, 250-hour,

and 600-hour services as instructed in Lubrication
and Maintenance section.

9. Check all instruments and indicators by turning key

switch to ON position.

A—Hand Throttle

IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate starter more than 20

seconds at a time, and wait at least two
minutes for starter to cool before trying
again.

10. Pull hand throttle (A) all the way down, depress clutch

pedal, and crank engine until oil pressure rises.

11. Connect wiring lead to fuel injection pump shut-off

solenoid.

12. Depress clutch pedal and start engine. Operate

engine at slow idle for several minutes. Warm up
carefully and check all systems before placing tractor
under load.
