Inserting the back-up batteries
Insert three R6 (size AA) batteries (not
supplied) into the battery compartment.
These batteries work to save the
memory data.

Replacing batteries

With normal use, the batteries should last for
about one year.
Replace all the batteries with new ones at
intervals of about one year.

Setting Up

Preparing the system

According to the illustrations, connect the cords firmly. Wrong connections cause mal-
functions. Connect the mains lead last.

Note

Be sure to turn off the power of the player before
connecting/disconnecting the mains lead or
removing/inserting batteries.

Hooking up the aerial
1 Strip the coating from the end of the

cable and twist the wires.

2 Connect the wires to the terminals.

* Reorient the aerial to improve

broadcast reception.
