Shooting panoramic images

Shoots multiple images and allows you to create a panoramic image from composed
images while you pan the camera. You can create both up and down, and right and left
panoramic images.

•

If you cannot pan the camera across the entire subject within the given time, a gray area occurs in
the composed image. If this happens, move the camera fast to record a full panoramic image.

•

Since several images are stitched together, the stitched part will not be recorded smoothly.

•

You cannot create panoramic images in the following situations:
– You pan the camera too fast or too slow
– There is too much camera shake
– You pan the camera in a different direction from the setting

•

Under low light conditions, panoramic images may be blurred.

1

Set the mode dial to

(Sweep

2

Hold the camera at the position
where you can see the LCD screen
clearly.

Direction] or [Image Size] (page 58).

3

Fully press the shutter button.

4

Pan the camera following the
indication on the screen.

When a guidance bar reaches to the end, the
shooting stops and panoramic images are
recorded.
