Digital Zoom
The digital zoom enables higher zoom magnifi cation than the optical zoom. Digital zoom can
electronically magnify an image created by the optical lens up to 1000 times.
PRECHECK!
Select the record mode by pressing the MODE button. page 24
1. Touch the Menu ( ) tab  “Digital Zoom.”
2. Touch the desired submenu item.
3. To exit the menu, touch the Exit ( ) or Return ( ) tab.
Submenu items
Off : Disables Digital Zoom.
On : Enables higher digital zoom magnifi cation.

When you use the digital zoom, the camcorder processes the image
digitally more than in the optical zoom mode. As a result, the image
resolution may deteriorate.
Self Timer
When you enable the self-timer, there is a time delay of 10 seconds before recording starts.
You can record videos or take photos of yourself.

Off: Disables the Self Timer.
10 Sec ( ): There is a time delay of 10 seconds after you press the
Record Start/Stop or PHOTO button.

The camcorder automatically turns the Self Timer function off after it has been used once.
You must turn it on each time you want to use it.
