In French mode, characters scroll in the following order:

After a character is entered, the cursor automatically advances to
the next space after two seconds or when you enter a character
not on the same key.
Setting the Default Input Mode
1. Select > Settings > Others > Text Entry > Default Input.
2. Select an option and press .
Ⅲ T9 Word to select the T9 word mode for the initial entry
mode.
Ⅲ Alphabet to select the Alphabet mode for the initial entry
mode.
Ⅲ Retain Mode to set the retain mode on to retain the
previous entry mode.
