Using the Locks & Limits Feature
The Locks & Limits feature gives you control over access to your Digital
Satellite Receiver. You can set different Locks & Limits for programming
that you receive from DIRECTV and for programming that you receive
from your TV antenna or cable company connection.
1 Press the MENU button, then highlight and select
LOCKS & LIMITS.
The Locks & Limits menu appears.
2 Highlight and select either “DIRECTV” or “TV”
depending on which programming you want to
limit, then select “Edit”.
Either the DIRECTV Locks & Limits display or the TV Locks &
Limits display appears.

Spending Limit
Sets a maximum limit on charges
per event (see page 67).
Rating Limit
Sets a maximum limit on rated
content (see page 68).
Pay Per View
Blocks access to pay per view
programs (see page 68).
Stations Blocked
Blocks access to specific stations
(see page 69).
Lock
Locks the DIRECTV Locks & Limits
settings.
Receiver Status
Shows if your Digital Satellite
Receiver is now locked or unlocked.
Unlock
Opens the DIRECTV Locks & Limits
edit display.
