Listening to sound from a USB-connected PC (continued)

Checking a driver

After installation, make sure the driver is recognised.

Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition:

Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP:

Select “Setting”

“Control Panel” from the “Start”

menu and click it.

When the “Control Panel” opens, select the “System” icon
and double click it.

Click the “Device Manager” tab.

Make sure “View devices by type” is selected.

Check that the unit is recognised.

Make sure “USB Audio Device” is under “Sound, video and
game controllers” and “USB Composite Device” is under “Uni-
versal Serial Bus controllers”.
OS: Windows 98 Second Edition.

For Windows XP, select “Control Panel” from the “Start” menu
and click it.

When the “Control Panel” opens, select the “System” icon
and double click it.

Select the “Hardware” tab and click “Device Manager”.

Make sure “View devices by type” is selected.

Check that the unit is recognised.

Make sure “USB Composite Device” is under “Universal Serial
Bus controllers” and “USB Audio Device” is under “Sound, vid-
eo and game controllers”.
OS: Windows XP.

Other items in the Device Manager may be different depending on
the PC environment.

If the unit cannot be recognised, connect and disconnect the USB
cable. If the driver is not installed and the unit is still not
recognised, restart the PC.
