Getting Started With Sprint Service

Determining Whether Your Device Is Activated

If you purchased your device at a Sprint Store, it is
probably activated, unlocked, and ready to use. If you
received your device in the mail, it has probably
already been activated; all you need to do is unlock it.

If your device is not activated, please call Sprint
Customer Service at

1-800-SPRINT1

(1-800-777-4681).

Unlocking Your Device

1.

Press

to turn the device on.

2.

Press

Unlock

(left softkey).

3.

Press

to unlock the device.

Note

Some data connection charges may apply during the
feedback update process.

Note

Your device’s battery should have enough charge to
power on the device, find a signal, set up your
voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge
your battery as soon as possible. See “Charging the
Battery” on page 24 f
or details.

Note

To select a softkey, press the softkey button directly
below the softkey text that is displayed at the bottom
left and bottom right of your device’s display screen.
Softkey actions change according to the screen you’re
viewing and will not be displayed if there is no
corresponding action available.

Tip

If you can’t recall your lock code, try using the last four
digits of your wireless phone number. If this doesn’t
work, call Sprint Customer Service at

1-800-SPRINT1

(1-800-777-4681).
