• Some video devices may not work properly for

the created discs type.

• Your video device may not support the disc type

(e.g., DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL). Check
if your video device supports the disc type.

Other video devices do not playback the
created HD (High Definition) disc.

• A generic DVD player cannot playback HD

(High Definition) discs. You need an AVCHD-
compatible player (e.g., Blu-ray Disc player/
recorder) to playback HD discs (page 24).

Other video devices do not playback the
created photo disc.

• You need a video device capable of playing JPEG

files.

• Some devices have different playback operation

for JPEG files and videos. For details, refer to the
operating instructions for your device.

You cannot select OUTPUT during this
operation.

• You cannot display images via external outputs

during recording or when using the Setup Menu.

Unknown USB device found. Check the
connected device.

• An unsupported USB device is connected to the

USB port of the DVDirect.

• The camcorder is supported by the DVDirect, but

the USB connection or setting on the connected
camera may not be correct.

Insert a recordable disc supported by this
recorder.

• An incompatible disc is inserted. Insert a disc

compatible with the DVDirect.

• DVD-RW or DVD+RW discs recorded on other

video devices are not supported. Use [Erase disc]
and erase videos or photos recorded on a disc.
The erased disc is reusable as a blank disc (page
68).

The disc is finalized. Cannot record.

• The disc has already been finalized. You cannot

use a finalized disc to record videos and/or
photos.

No recordable content found.

• The camera or memory card has no video or

photo to record.

• One or more videos in the Playlist created on the

camera are missing (for copying Playlist only).

• The camera or memory card has no new video or

photo to record (for copying new images only).

• A correct storage media is not selected on the

USB SELECT screen after the camera is
connected.

No recordable content found for One
Touch Disc Burn.

• The camera or memory card has no new video or

photo to record in the One Touch Disc Burn
mode.

Cannot copy to this disc. Insert a new
disc.

• You cannot add an HD (High Definition) video to

a disc that contains a SD (Standard Definition)
video.

• You cannot add an SD (Standard Definition)

video to a disc that contains a HD (High
Definition) video.

This disc cannot be played by this
recorder.

• The DVDirect does not support playback of

commercial DVDs or discs recorded on other
video devices.

Too many photos. Will import maximum
number of allowable photos only.

• If too many photos are saved into the camera or

memory card, the DVDirect is copying the
number of photos available.

XX/YY videos are not recordable.
