Hint

If there is no SAP sound while playing the
recorded SAP program, even if the program is
recorded on the HDD (when “HDD Recording
Format” is set to “Video Mode Off” in the
“Recording” setup (except in PCM recording
mode) (page 105)) or DVD-RW/DVD-R
formatted in VR mode (except in PCM recording
mode), try to press the AUDIO button to switch the
sound setting.

Notes

• You cannot change the recording sound

(“Stereo”/“Mono”/“SAP”) after the recording
starts.

• If no SAP programs are broadcast in your area,

the program is recorded in main sound, even if
SAP sound is selected for recording.

The recorder can automatically divide a
recording (a title) into chapters by inserting
chapter marks. To select chapter mark
intervals or disable this function, see “Auto
Chapter (HDD/VR),” “Auto Chapter
(Video),” or “Auto Chapter (DVD+R/
+RW)” in the “Recording” setup (page 105).
When recording to the HDD, a DVD-R (VR
mode) or a DVD-RW (VR mode), you can
edit chapter marks (page 59).
