Playing Game 1, the AIBO
®
Entertainment
Robot’s “Function Demo”
You can enjoy playing games with the AIBO robot when it is in Game mode.
Using the AIBO Custom Manager 2 (see the cautions below), you can obtain content and
have the AIBO robot play up to 3 games.
Caution
• The AIBO robot’s function demo game is not available while the AIBO robot is on the Energy Station.
Take the AIBO robot off of the Energy Station before playing.
• To add games to the AIBO robot, you must have the AIBO Custom Manager 2 software (supplied
separately). (For the latest information on the AIBO Custom Manager 2 (supplied separately) and
available Game mode content, visit our Web site at
http://www.aibo.com.)
• When using the AIBO MIND 2 software, only Game mode content designed for use with the AIBO
MIND 2 software can be added. Content designed for use with the AIBO MIND software cannot be
used.
Game 1 is a Function Demo that provides an entertaining introduction to the features of the
AIBO MIND 2 software.
To end Game mode and return the AIBO robot to Autonomous mode, touch the head sensor
for 3 seconds.

Simultaneously touch the AIBO robot’s front and rear back sensors for 3
seconds, or show it the “Game Mode 1 (L)” card.

When you show the AIBO robot the “Game Mode 1 (L)” card, it starts playing the
game immediately.
This is the voice guide mode, top menu.
Please select a function.
Please touch the following colors on my back sensor:
Touch blue for game mode. Touch orange for set up mode.
Touch red for recording message and clinic mode.

* If you do not perform the operation within the prescribed number of seconds, the AIBO robot enters
the Autonomous mode or returns to the previous state.
