Calling Internationally from another 
country 
(GSM Only)
1.
In standby mode, press and hold
to display the “+”
symbol. The “+” symbol automatically inserts the exit 
code for the country from which you are calling.
2.
Enter the country code of the person you are calling.
3.
Enter the area code, without the leading zero, followed 
by the number of the person you are calling. Please note 
there are some exceptions for leaving out the leading 
zero such as Italy, Finland and Spain.
CDMA international calls
Call another country from the U.S.
(CDMA Only)
Your phone must be in Verizon (CDMA) mode to place calls 
from within the United States.
1.
In standby mode, enter the three-digit exit code (011) for 
the United States.
2.
Enter the country code for the country that you are 
calling. See the table under “List of countries” on 
page 12 for a list of countries and their codes. A more 
complete list of country codes can be found at 
www.verizonwireless.com
.
3.
Enter the number that you wish to call, then press
.
Puerto Rico and Canada are on the North American 
dialing plan. When making calls to Puerto Rico and 
Canada it is similar to making calls within the United 
States, no unique country codes are necessary.
