If an error message is displayed, you can clear it by press-
ing the STOP/CANCEL key.

CardBrk

The SmartMedia is damaged.

➝ Make a backup of the files that are on the

SmartMedia card. On the ESX-1, Write/Delete op-
erations for files on the damaged SmartMedia will
be disabled. If the same error occurs even after you
execute Format on the card, please replace the
SmartMedia.

Card Fmt

The SmartMedia™ could not be read.

➝ Use your computer or other device to back up the

data on the SmartMedia™ card. Then format the
SmartMedia™ on the ESX-1, rewrite the desired
files to it, and access it once again from the ESX-1.

CardFull

There is insufficient free space in the ESX-1 or on
SmartMedia™.

➝ If you want to save data, you must delete unneeded

files from the SmartMedia™ card to create suffi-

SmartMedia™

must have a minimum of approxi-

data.

be recorded in a song.

➝ Delete unneeded song event data.

➝ Try the operation once again.

FileLoad

An error occurred while loading a file from SmartMedia™.

➝ Try the operation once again.

FileName

When saving to SmartMedia, an identically-named folder
already exists.

➝ Either use your computer to delete the folder from

the SmartMedia, or change the filename on the ESX-
1 and save it again.

FileSave

An error occurred while saving to SmartMedia™.

➝ Try the operation once again.

Mem Full

Memory was not sufficient when you attempted to load a sample
from SmartMedia or copy a sample inside the ESX-1.

➝ Delete unneeded files to increase the amount of free

space.

MotSqFul

The motion sequence cannot be recorded.

➝ On the ESX-1, you can record a maximum of 24

motion sequences for each pattern.
Use CLEAR MOTION (☞p.69) to delete unneeded
motion sequences, and then input your data once
again.

NoFiles

The SmartMedia™ does not contain any files that the ESX-
1 can recognize.

➝ The ESX-1 can load only .EMX files.

Protect

You attempted to write the data into memory when the data
protect setting was turned on.

➝ In Global mode, turn memory protect off.

If the write protect label is affixed to the
SmartMedia™, remove it.

SongEvnt

While writing a song to a different-numbered song, you
exceeded the maximum number of events that can be re-
corded.

➝ Delete unneeded event data to free up more

memory space.
