Precautions
Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.
• In direct sunlight
• Locations of extreme temperature or humidity

Power supply
Please connect the designated AC adapter to an AC outlet of the correct voltage. Do not
connect it to an AC outlet of voltage other than that for which your unit is intended.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as
benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds or flammable polishes.

Installing the battery
1. Gently press the battery cover on the back of the GB-1 with the side of your thumb
and turn the cover counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Install the battery so that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing up.
3. Turn the battery cover clockwise to reattach it.
As the battery runs down during operation, the string name indicator LED will
blink and the LED meter will not operate smoothly, resulting in inaccurate tuning.
When this occurs, install a new battery as soon as possible.
You must remove the GB-1 from the instrument and turn off the power before re-
placing the battery.
The included battery is for verification of operation, and may have a shorter lifespan
than usual.
If the battery become unusable, remove them immediately. You should also remove
the battery if you won’t be using the tuner for an extended period of time.
Mise en place de la pile
1. Appuyez délicatement sur le couvercle du logement de la pile, à l'arrière du GB-1,
avec le bord de votre pouce et tournez le couvercle dans le sens inverse des aiguilles
d'une montre pour le retirer.
2. Mettez la pile en place de telle manière que son côté positif (+) soit tourné vers le haut.
3. Tournez le couvercle du logement de la pile dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre
pour le refermer.
Si la pile est épuisée pendant le fonctionnement, l'indicateur du nom de la corde
clignotera, l'indicateur à diodes ne fonctionnera pas correctement et l'accordage ne
sera pas précis. Si c'est le cas, installez dès que possible une pile neuve.
Vous devez débrancher le GB-1 de votre instrument et le mettre hors tension avant
de remplacer la pile.
La pile fournie est destinée à vérifier le bon fonctionnement de l'appareil et il est
possible que sa durée de vie soit plus courte que la normale.
Si la pile est instable, enlevez-la immédiatement. Vous devrez aussi enlever la pile si
vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant longtemps.

Einsetzen der Batterie
1. Drücken Sie sanft den den Batteriefachdeckel an der Rückseite des GB-1 mit der
Seite des Daumens ein und drehen Sie die Abdeckung gegen den Uhrzeigersinn
zum Abnehmen.
2. Setzen Sie die Batterie so ein, dass die Plus-Seite (+) der Batterie nach oben weist.
3. Drehen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel zum erneuten Anbringen.
Da die Batterie beim Betrieb schwächer wird, blinkt die Saitenname-Anzeige-LED,
und die LED-Messanzeige arbeitet nicht glatt, wodurch die Stimmgenauigkeit
beeinträchtigt wird. In diesem Fall muss so schnell wie möglich eine neue Batterie
eingesetzt werden.
Sie müssen das GB-1 vom Instrument abnehmen, und den Stromschalter ausschalten,
bevor Sie die Batterien ersetzen.
Die mitgelieferte Batterie dient zur Bestätigung des Betriebs und kann eine kürzere
Lebensdauer als normale Batterien haben.
Wenn die Batterie unbrauchbar wird, muss sie sofort entnommen werden. Sie sollten
auch die Batterie entfernen, wenn Sie das Stimmgerät längere Zeit nicht verwenden
wollen.
Instalación de la pila
1. Presione suavemente la tapadera de la pila en la parte posterior del GB-1 con el
lateral de su pulgar y gire la tapadera en dirección contraria a las agujas del reloj

Es imprescindible apagar y desconectar el GB-1 del instrumento antes de cambiar la pila.
La pila incluida es únicamente para verificar el funcionamiento correcto del afinador
y es posible que se gaste antes de lo normal.
Si la pila deja de ser utilizable, reemplácela cuanto antes. Se recomienda sacar la
pila si el afinador no va a ser utilizado durante un periodo de tiempo prolongado.
