Automatic Dry

The Automatic Dry cycle uses the Energy Preferred
Automatic Setting (*). Use this cycle for drying

heavyweight and medium-weight:

Cotton items, such as towels, linens,
bedspreads, work clothes, blue jeans, and
corduroys. Set your Temperature selector to
High/Heavy.

Permanent Press, synthetics, and blends, such as
jackets, shirts, slacks, and play clothes. Set your
Temperature selector to High/Heavy.

Knits, such as cottons, rayons, blends, T-shirts,
slacks, and shirts. Set your Temperature
selector to Low/Knits.

If the load is drier than you like, select a setting
closer to Less Dry the next time you dry a
similar load. If the load is not as dry as you like,
complete drying using the Timed Dry cycle. Select
a setting closer to Very Dry the next time you dry
a similar load.

Timed Dry

Use the Timed Dry cycle to complete drying if some
items are damp after automatic drying. The Timed
Dry cycle is also useful for:

Heavyweight and bulky items, such as bed-
spreads and work clothes, and large loads that
require a long drying time. Set your Temperature
selector to High/Heavy and your Cycle Control
knob to Heavy Dry.

Lightweight items, such as lingerie, blouses, and
knits that require a short drying time. Set your
Temperature selector to Low/Knits and your
Cycle Control knob for 20 minutes.

USING YOUR DRYER

No Heat Fluff

Use the unheated No Heat Fluff cycle for items that
require drying without heat. The chart on page 13
includes examples of items that require drying
without heat.

Heavy Dry

Use the Heavy Dry feature in the Timed Dry Cycle to
dry large items or items that are thicker or heavier
than a regular load (such as heavy cotton bath
towels or robes). Set the Cycle Control knob to
Heavy Dry and the Temperature selector to
High/Heavy.

Damp Dry

Use the Damp Dry feature in the Timed Dry cycle
to dry items to damp level or to dry items that do
not require an entire drying cycle (such as jeans,
which you do not want to become stiff, or cotton
clothes which are easier to press when damp). Set
the Cycle Control knob to Damp Dry and the
Temperature selector to High/Heavy.

Touch Up

The Touch Up feature in the Timed Dry cycle
moves wrinkles from clothes that have been
packed in a suitcase or closet, or from items not
removed from the dryer at the end of a cycle. As
soon as the dryer stops, fold or put the items on
hangers. Set the Temperature selector to
Medium/Perm Press.
