TONE/PULSE DIALING
Telephone companies offer both pulse and tone dialing. The Krown 200 will use tone dialing unless
you change it. Most tone dialing services will allow you to use rotary (pulse) dialing, but some rotary
services will not allow you to use tone dialing.

To set the Krown 200 for Pulse Dialing:

ACOUSTIC/DIRECT CONNECT MODE SELECTION
The Krown 200 will automatically be in the Direct connect mode whenever you have your TDD
plugged into the phone line. Otherwise it is in the acoustic mode and you must place your telephone
handset in the coupler (see page 11).

FOLLOW-ON DIALING
Your Krown 200 may be used to send a credit card number or other set of numbers as may be
required when making credit card calls, calling computerized information systems, shop-at-home
services and so on. To use this feature after you have started your call in Direct Connect.
