c) Threading the upper thread
To pass in the upper thread, it is not
necessary to open the front of the
sewing machine. The illustration is for
guidance only.
ᕤ Pull out one of the two roll pins
and put on a spool of thread.

You can put a felt pad under the
spool of thread, to protect the machi-
ne casing.
ᕥ Pass the thread through the upper
thread guide,
c) Threading the upper thread
ᕦ then over the thumbwheel for the
upper thread tension,
ᕧ then under the tension spring,
ᕨ then over the threading hook,
ᕩ then through the thread guide to the
needle, through the needle eye and
finally under the back of the sew
foot.
