button to call up the multimedia menu.
In addition to the familiar FTP server functionality from software version 1.01 for transferring data (recordings and
pictures) via the network, from software version 1.02 the UFS 922 provides more extensive network functions.
o UPnP server functionality (e.g. streaming of UFS 922 recordings on external devices)
o MP playback
o JPEG display
o Playback of external recordings (UFS 922, 910, 902, 822, 821)
o XVID playback
The screens below show a possible network configuration for streaming and playing back media files. The UFS 922
automatically detects the connected devices/servers after successful initialisation and displays them as follows in the
Media Centre.
Internal hard disk (media and recording archive)
External USB storage media (formatted as “NTFS”
and “FAT/FAT32”)
The UPnP server generated by the UFS 922 (setting
made under “Applications” in main menu). It contains
the data from the internal hard disk (media and
recording archive) and the data from the connected
USB storage media.
External UPnP server (server running on connected
PC/laptop or connected NAS systems with integrated
server)
