How to…Install the Support Plate on Damaged Frame Cross-Member/Bracket

NOTE: STEPS 21-24 cover how to adjust the lift actuator screw if moved or if incline error message is
displayed.

21. Test the unit. If an incline error occurs then proceed to adjust the actuator screw.

22. With the unit on its left side, disconnect the lift frame from the lift actuator nut, enter 919 into the SERVICE

MENU (this will require that power to the unit be restored and the unit powered up). Press HILL + Manual
Programs and using the incline down arrow key, lower the lift motor untill it stops. Press the LIFT FRAME
ASSEMBLY tightly against the RUBBER STOPS on the bottom of the frame.

23. Check that the location of the mounting PINS in the LIFT ACTUATOR NUT BRACKET are centered in the slot. If

not, turn the LIFT ACTUATOR NUT accordingly to achieve this result.

24. Re-attach the lift actuator nut to the lift frame bracket.

NOTE: STEPS 25 and 26 cover DECK and STRIDING BELT installation.

25. Upright the unit and install the DECK and deck srews in the reverse order of removal.

26. Install the striding belt in reverse order of removal making sure arrows on the underside of the belt point in the

direction of belt rotation (see illustration). Refer to BELT TENSIONING and TRACKING ALIGNMENT below.

NOTE: STEPS 27-30 cover BELT TRACKING ALIGNMENT and TENSIONING (STALL TEST) on USED belts.

IMPORTANT: It is CRITICAL that the treadmill be correctly leveled prior to any belt tensioning or tracking
adjustments. An unstable unit can effect belt tracking.

27. After the treadmill has been leveled, plug the power cord back into an electrical wall outlet and activate the unit.

28. Tension the belt to the markings on the adjusting screws. Set the main motor speed to 4.0 mph (6.4 km/h) and

note belt tracking. If the belt moves to the left, turn the left adjusting bolt 1/4 turn clockwise and the right
adjusting bolt 1/4 turn counterclockwise to bring the belt back to center. If the STRIDING BELT moves to the
right, turn the right adjusting bolt 1/4 turn clockwise and the left adjust bolt 1/4 turn counterclockwise to bring the
striding belt tracking back to center.

29. Repeat this adjustment until the striding belt is centered on the rear roller. Allow the unit to operate for several

minutes to ensure it remains on center.

30. Decrease striding belt speed to 2 mph (3.2 kph) and begin walking on the treadmill. Tightly grasp the handrails

and attempt to stall the striding belt. If it slips, stop the treadmill and increase belt tension by turning the
tensioning bolts clockwise in 1/4 turn increments. Repeat the stall test.
