Set the mode switch to match the device
to which you want to preset the remote
control signal.

Example: To select DVD/LD.

At the same time, press the EDIT button
and number button 1.

Select the desired manufacturer.

Select from the figure on page 69.

Example: To select 24 (PHILIPS) in the LD mode.
REMOTE CODE SET UP
To operate other manufacturers' audio/video units using the TV remote
control unit, remote control signals need to be set.
There are two methods of setting remote control signals
• For calling the other manufacturers' remote control signals preset to
this remote control unit
• For learning other manufacturers' remote control signals

REMOTE CONTROL SIGNALS PRESET
NOTES:
• To stop the EDIT mode in the middle, press the EDIT
button once more.
• If mode switch is switched while in EDIT mode, EDIT
mode will be canceled.
• After step 1 and step 2, if you do not press the
button for one minute (no operation), the EDIT
mode will be canceled.
• If the table on page 69 does not include your desired
manufacturer or the remote control does not work,
you can make the memory learn its signal by the
learn mode (see page 70).
• The initial mode is “00” (PIONEER).

LED will begin blinking.
•
If the LED blinks rapidly when the number button has been
pressed, there has been an error. Input the number again.
•
After setting, you can automatically use the remote control in
the usual manner.
