TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PYRAMID SERIES
SYMPTOM:
Amp turning off at low
volume levels
No Sound
No Sound
No sound in one chan-
nel
Amp turning off at me-
dium or high volume
levels
CHECK:
Check speakers for dam-
age or short
Is the power LED illumi-
nated ?
Is the Diagnos tic LED
illuminated?
Check speaker leads
Check Audio Leads
Check Mono Bridge and
Amp
Sub woofer Switches
Check speaker load im-
pedance
CURE:
Have your dealer inspect the speakers.
Check fuses in amplifier.
Be sure Turn-on lead is connected
Check signal leads. Check gain control.
Check Tuner/Deck volume level.
Clean contacts on fuse holders.
C h e c k f o r s p e a k e r s h o r t o r a m p l i f i e r
overheating.
Inspect for short circuit or an open connection.
Reverse Left and Right RCA inputs to determine
if it is occurring before the amp.
Change switches to ensure proper position with
respect to the installation.
Be sure proper speaker load impedance rec-
ommendations are observed.
(If you use an ohmmeter to check speaker
resistance, please remember that DC resistance
and AC impedance may not be the same.)
