Recording and timer recording
Cannot record. ≥You haven’t inserted a disc or the disc you inserted cannot be recorded on. Insert a disc the unit
can record onto. (page 8)
≥The disc is unformatted.
Format the disc so this unit can record on it. (page 31)
≥The write protect tab on the cartridge is set to “PROTECT”.
Use a ballpoint pen or similar to release the write protection. (page 64)
≥Recording is not possible unless you set “Disc Protection” in “DISC INFORMATION” to “Off”.

≥The disc is full or nearly full.
Delete unneeded programmes or use another disc. (page 34)
≥The material you are trying to record is copy-guarded.
≥Tired to record to a DVD-R that has already been finalized.
G- CODE programming does not
work properly.

Timer recording does not work
properly. ≥The timer programme is incorrect.
Make corrections to the programme and check them when you are finished. (pages 25 and 26)
≥The unit is not on standby for timer recording. (“ ” on the unit’s display is not on.)

The unit switches to standby

recorded programming.
A part or whole of a recorded
programme has been lost. ≥If there is a power failure or the plug is disconnected from the household AC outlet while
recording or editing, the programme may be lost or the disc may become unusable.
)We cannot offer any guarantee regarding lost programmes or discs. You will have to format
the disc or use a new disc.
Cannot eject a disc. ≥Press [DVD, Í] (1) to switch the unit off.
Hold down [ ∫] (7) and [W, CH] (18) on the main unit simultaneously for about 5 seconds.
≥If the Child Lock function is activated, above operation does not work.
Discs make sounds as they rotate. This does not indicate a malfunction.
