Remove the water reservoir.
Fill the water reservoir with cold water up to the MaX indication
and put it back onto the machine.
Move the lever upwards to release the lid.
Open the lid.

Put the 1-cup pod holder ° or the -cup pod holder °°in the
machine without pod(s).
