CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (CVT)

Ⅲ The CVT does not produce a gear change sensation

like traditional automatic transmissions.

Ⅲ The transmission in your vehicle requires a special

fluid available only at your NISSAN dealer. No other
fluid will meet the exact requirements of the CVT.

OVERDRIVE (O/D) OFF SWITCH (if so equipped)

Ⅲ Each time your vehicle is started, the transmission is

automatically “reset” to Overdrive on.

Ⅲ To turn Overdrive mode off, push the O/D OFF

switch

. The O/D OFF light in the instrument

panel will illuminate.

Ⅲ Use the Overdrive off mode when you need im-

proved engine braking.

MANUAL SHIFT MODE (if so equipped)

Ⅲ The manual shift mode can be activated

while the shift selector is in the D (Drive)
position by pressing a paddle shifter. How-
ever, the transmission will automatically re-
turn to the D (Drive) position after approxi-
mately 15 seconds. To manually return to the
D (Drive) position, pull and hold the paddle
shifter for 1.5 seconds.

Ⅲ When the shift selector is shifted from D

(Drive) to the manual shift gate, the transmission enters the manual shift mode.

Ⅲ In the manual shift mode, shift range is displayed on the position indicator in the meter.
Ⅲ When shifting up, move the shift selector to the + (up) side or move the shift paddle on

the steering wheel to the + (up) side

. The transmission shifts to a higher range.

Ⅲ When shifting down, move the shift selector to the - (down) side or move the shift

paddle on the steering wheel to the - (down) side

. The transmission shifts to a

lower range.

Ⅲ In manual shift mode, the transmission automatically shifts down to M1 (first) before the

vehicle comes to a stop. When accelerating again, it is necessary to shift to the desired
range.

Ⅲ When canceling the manual shift mode, return the shift selector to the D (Drive) position.

The transmission returns to the normal driving mode.
