connection options, complete compatibility with any
Home Theatre set-up is assured. Whether you simply
want to add DVD to your current TV, or desire a complete
digital surround sound experience, the T 513 is fully up
to the task. The T 513 supports the DTS Surround Sound
formats (external decoder required) as well as the always
present Dolby Surround.

Most popular disc formats are supported by the T 513,
including JPEG, Kodak Picture CD, as well as MP-3 and
WMA (Windows Media Audio). DVD-R format is fully
supported. Other DVD recording formats (DVD+R and
DVD-RAM) may, or may not play properly, depending on
the specifi c recorder and blank disc used.

Performance
Audio performance is fully up to NAD’s high standards,
and the T 513 makes an excellent music player for CD,
as well as providing state-of-the-art video performance.
With full support for the new CD-R and CD-RW formats
the T 513 is right up to date. Even MP-3 and WMA fi les
can be played back on this versatile player, with one CD-R
capable of up to 10 hours of continuous music playback!
Whichever audio format is chosen, the signal will be
processed and decoded with typical NAD precision. The
analogue output stages are fed from separate regulated
power supplies, and utilize audiophile quality parts to
retain all the dynamics and detail contained in the original
recoding.

Equal attention has been paid to the video performance
capabilities: Keeping signal paths short and direct to
minimise any interference, the 4 x10 bit 54MHz Video
DACs are capable of reproducing the fi nest of picture
details, where black is truly black and with vivid colours
extremely faithful to the original.

The Component Video outputs (Y, Cr, Cb) sports
Progressive Scan to get the most out of the latest high-end
digital video monitors and projectors with signifi cantly
increased resolution when compared to standard,
interlaced video. For video displays without Component
Video input, the SCART (which supports RGB) and
S-Video connectors offer superior video performance.

T 513 DVD/CD Player

The DVD format is the most successful new
home entertainment format in history. With
digital picture and sound, the performance
of DVD is far superior to video tape or TV
broadcast. Equally endearing is the sheer
convenience of the format, with instant access to
different scenes and no rewind requirement as
with tape. Add in the bonus of director cuts and
interviews with actors and performers, and it is
easy to see why DVD is so popular!
