Additional configuration using the VoIP Settings menu

From the Main Menu, go to Settings > VoIP Settings >
Registration and select Misc. then press OK to accept selection.

Select CTBW and press OK. The parameters controlling bandwidth
usage are now available. Set the bandwidth parameter to a value
between the range of 60 and 250 Kb/s. By default, the IP Phone
1535 is set with a CTBW value of 160 Kb/s.

Press OK to confirm.

Modifying Codec Priority lists

To set Audio and Video codec priorities (to suit the specifics of your MCS
5200 setup), use this configuration option.

Log in to the Nortel IP Phone 1535 using the Admin Mode. For

From the Main Menu, go to Settings > VoIP Settings > Misc. and
select Codec Priority. Press OK.

Select the Codec Type (Audio or Video) to configured, and press
OK.

Select the priority level, and assign a codec from the list of codecs
available:

a. Audio: The IP Phone 1535 supports the following Audio Codec

Types: G.711 u-law, G.711 a-law, G.723, G.729, AMR, or None.
You can configure these Audio codec types in a priority list of up
to five options. Prioritize codecs depending on your network
configuration.

b. Video: The IP Phone 1535 supports the following Video Codec

Types: H.263 and H.264. You can configure these Video codec
types in a priority list of up to five options. Prioritize codecs
depending on your network configuration.

Press OK to accept the new priority level of the chosen Codec.
