Sound Settings
Sound settings
The options in this menu control the sound settings listed
below.
With E4600, sound settings can only be set On or Off.
Choosing Off mutes button, shutter and start-up sounds.
Tone and volume cannot be adjusted.
Shutter sound
Regardless of setting chosen, no sound is played when j (sports assist) is selected in assist modes
(Q 33), Continuous settings other than Single (Q 72) are set, or D BSS is on (Q 73).
Option Description
Button sound
(E5600 only)
Control the sounds that alert you to camera's
functions:
•When the mode dial is set.
•When the mode is changed
(shooting
↔ playback).
•When menu settings are made.
•When an error occurs.
Shutter sound
(E5600 only)
There are three shutter sounds to choose from.
Press the multi selector up or down to highlight
option, and press I (the center of the multi
selector) to select.
Start-up sound
(E5600 only)
Adjust volume of sound played when camera is
turned on.

(E5600 only)
Adjust volume of voice memos, movies, and shut-
ter and start-up sounds. Choose volume for built-
in speaker from Loud and Normal. Choosing Off
mutes shutter and start-up sounds, and plays
voice memos and movies at lowest volume.
