Focus: MF (Manual Focus)
Manual focus can be used to lock focus over a series of
photographs or to focus when the camera is unable to
focus using autofocus.

Select MF (manual focus).
Select MF in the Focus menu.
The focus mode and focus bar
are displayed in the picture
display.

Choose the focus distance.
Press ! to increase the focus distance, " to decrease.
To zoom in on the subject in
the center of the picture dis-
play and check focus, press
and hold the

ton. Press and hold the button
again to return to the normal
shooting display.

Take the picture.
Note
• The camera can focus on the subject at a close distance in the
macro mode using the manual focus.
• The zoom ratio for the zoom by pressing and holding
C/D button can be selected from 2 × and 4 × in Magni-
fication Ratio (MF) in the shooting menu (page 83).
