Tip

Economy mode is best suited for
web postings and emailing, as the
file size is smaller. Fine mode is best
for detailed prints.

Picture Quality

You can adjust the picture resolution quality to
economy, normal, or fine, depending on what kind
of picture you want. Because “economy” quality
pictures take up less memory, the camera can store
more of them than in “fine” mode.

1.

Set the Power dial to REC. (The image in front of
the camera appears.)

2.

Press the MENU button. (The Record menu
appears and WHITE BAL is highlighted.)

3.

Use the Navigation button to scroll to QUALITY
and adjust the setting (ECONOMY/NORMAL/
FINE
.)

4.

When finished, press the MENU button again to
exit.

Notes:

The number of storable pictures depends
on the selected picture quality mode as
well as the composition of the subjects in
the images.

The picture quality mode you select
remains the default even when you turn
off the camera.
