Using PC Cards

To insert a PC Card:
1 Turn off the computer.
You may also hot swap a PC Card (see “Hot swapping” on
page 150 ).
2 Align the card connectors with the PC Card slot and
carefully slide the card into the slot until it locks into
place.

To avoid damaging the PC Card or the computer, do not force
the card into the PC Card slot.
Removing PC Cards
1 Stop the PC Card by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware
icon on the system tray.
After the Safe to Remove Hardware message appears, it is
safe to remove the PC Card.
2 To remove the PC Card, press the slot’s eject button once.
