Setting the backlight

To reduce power consumption when using

batteries, you can change the length of time

that the backlight stays lit.
1 When the recorder is stopped, press the

key.

2 Use the

DATA

wheel to select the

PREFERENCE

menu, and press the

(¥)

key to open the

PREFERENCE

screen.

3 Use the

(§) and

(¶) keys to select

the setting value of the

Back Light

item,

and use the

DATA

wheel to set the amount

of time that the backlight stays lit.

The setting options are

OFF

5sec

10sec

15sec

and

30sec

. When set to

OFF

the

backlight always stays lit.

The default setting is

OFF

4 After making the setting, press the

HOME

key to return to the Home Screen.
