Display Settings

Changing the Text Greeting

The text greeting can be up to twelve characters and is displayed on
your phone’s screen in standby mode.

To display or change your custom greeting:

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Highlight Settings and press

.

3. Highlight Display and press

.

4. Highlight Greeting and press

.

5. Press and hold

to erase the current greeting.

6. Enter a new greeting and press

. (See “Entering Text” on

page 26.)

Changing the Backlight Settings

The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and
keypad are backlit after any key press is made.

To change the main LCD or sub LCD backlight setting for the standby
mode:

1. Press

to access the main menu.

2. Highlight Settings and press

.

3. Highlight Display and press

.

4. Highlight Backlight and press

.

5. Highlight Main LCD or Sub LCD and press

.

6. Highlight the desired option and press

.

**Sec. turns the display backlight on for a specified duration (**).
To change the duration, highlight it, select Edit (right softkey),
enter a new duration (5 to 30 seconds) and press

.

Flip Open keeps the display backlight on, while the phone is
open. (Only appears in Main LCD backlight setting.)

Always Off keeps the display backlight off. (Only appears in
Sub LCD backlight setting.)
