duration is shown on the display.

• To end the call, press the Hookswitch button.
• After the call, the display shows the call duration

for another 2 seconds.

5.2.2 External Call Setup with Dial Preparation
• Enter the desired telephone number.
• Press the Hookswitch button. During the

dialling, the number can be cor rected by
pressing the Erase button. The maximum number
of digits you can enter is 25. If the user tries to
enter more than 25 digits, an er ror tone is
generated and the excessive digits are ignored.

5.2.3 Redial
The last three dialled numbers are saved in the
Redial memory. They can be called by pressing the
Redial button [R/P].
• P ress the Redial button repeatedly to step

t h rough the diff e rent numbers in the Redial
m e m o ry.

• P ress the Hookswitch button. The Redial button

also functions as a Pause button (see 5.4 Pause).

5.2.4 Internal Calls between Handsets
If you want to talk to another handset, take the
following steps :
• Press the [INT] button.
• Enter the number of the desired handset.
• Press, the Hookswitch button of the called

handset to answer the incoming internal call.

• P ress the Hookswitch button when you want to

t e rminate the internal call.

Note : When a handset is in communication with
another handset, you will hear a busy tone when
you try to reach one of these handsets.

5.3 External Call Transfer
When you are in communication with an extern a l
caller and you want to transfer this external call to
another internal handset, take the following steps :
• Press the [INT] button, followed by the number

of the desired handset.

• As soon as the called handset starts to ring, the

Hookswitch will be pressed. Both handsets are
now connected.

• The first handset will connect the external call to

the second handset by pressing the Hookswitch. If
the second handset doesn’t answer, press the
[INT] button again and the first handset will be
connected to the external call again.

5.4 Pause
While entering a phone number you can add a
pause to this number by pressing the Pause button
[R/P]. It should not be the first digit of a telephone
number otherwise the Pause button will be inter-
preted as a Redial button.
