Connecting to Your PC
CAUTION: Do not shut down or restart your PC while your V35 is
connected. Turn off your V35 or disconnect the USB cable before you
shut down your PC.
Connecting by USB Cable
CAUTION: Before you connect your V35 to the cradle, be sure of the
following: your PC is on, you have installed ActiveSync on your PC, and
ActiveSync is configured to allow a USB connection.
You can keep your V35 in the cradle when you are not carrying it with you,
which keeps it charged and synchronized.
For instructions on connecting, see “Connecting Your PC” in Chapter 1.
Connecting by Infrared
You can use the IR port to synchronize data with your PC, in place of using the
cable.
IR ports can be found on many notebook computers; however, on a PC, you
may need to install and configure an IR port. To install the port, follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
