BATTERY LOW is
displayed on screen
• Place the handset in the telephone base for recharging .
• Remove and re-install the battery and use it normally until fully discharged, then recharge the
handset on the telephone base for 6 hours .
• If the above measures do not correct the problem, the battery may need to be replaced .
The battery does not
charge in the handset
or the handset battery
does not accept
charge .
• Make sure the handset is placed in the charger correctly . The
CHARGE/IN USE light on the
telephone base should be on .
• Remove the battery from the handset and then re-install it in the handset . Put the handset
back to the telephone base and let it charge for 6 hours .
• If the cordless handset is in the telephone base but the
CHARGE/IN USE light is not on, refer

• It may be necessary to purchase a new battery . Please refer to the
Installing handset battery
section of this user’s manual (page 5) .
• The telephone might be malfunctioning . Please refer to the
Warranty section of this user’s
manual (page 38) for further instruction .

• Clean the charging contacts on the cordless handset and telephone base each month using
a pencil eraser or a dry non-abrasive fabric .
• Make sure the power adapter and telephone line cord are plugged in correctly and securely .
• Unplug the power adapter . Wait for 5 seconds before plugging it back in . Allow up to one
minute for the cordless handset and telephone base to reset .
• The telephone might be malfunctioning . Please refer to the
Warranty section of this user’s
manual (page 38) for further instruction .
