b) Re-Calibrating the external volume pedal

1. First, make sure that the power to the Valvetronix

amp is off.

2. If the volume pedal allows for setting a minimum

volume setting, set the value at the minimum.

3. Turn on the power of the Valvetronix amp with

foot switch 3 and the FX ON-OFF/ CHANNEL
button pressed down. Doing this will cause the
Bank Display to show “

for 1 second and then

.

4. Slowly “open” the external Volume pedal until it

is fully “open”.

5. Press the TAP TEMPO switch on the VC-4 and

the Bank Display will show “

.

6. Slowly press the external Volume pedal down

until it is fully closed as shown below.

TIP! Pressing the FX ON-OFF / CHANNEL
switch terminates the adjustment.

7. Press the TAP TEMPO switch on the VC-4.The

Bank Display will show “

for 1 second and the

VC-4 will return to normal. When the adjustment
is not properly executed, the Bank Display will
show “

and then “

”. If this happens, try the

procedure again, starting from step 4.
