The three major components of the Control Panel are shown
in Figure 3.2:

The Control Panel display:
• Presents a hierarchy of menu options and settings to
configure and control the printer.
See “Navigating the Menu System” (page 3-8) for
information on the menu system hierarchy.
• Informs you of printer status conditions such as when
toner is low, where to load paper, and so on.
See “Displayed Control Panel Messages” (page 7-5) for a
