Step 13. Squeeze the belt together and push it

forward. Press the control arm inward towards the
deck and remove the six speed cable from the
slot.

Step 16. Place the new belt over the transmission

pulley. Start the belt in the pulley groove and
rotate the pulley until the belt is seated in the
transmission pulley.

Step 17. Place the belt between the idler pulley and the

belt keeper bracket.

Step 18. Using pliers, rotate the belt keeper bracket so

that it snaps into slot on the idler bracket.

Step 19. Tighten the idler pulley bolt and lock nut half a

turn using two 7/16” wrenches.

Step 14. Pivot the control arm down away from the

pulley and belt.

Step 15. Lift off the lower pulley assembly and remove

the old belt from around the crankshaft.

Step 20. Place the belt between the two pulley halves

on the crankshaft. Make sure to route the belt
inside the belt guard pin.

IMPORTANT: When replacing the belt, do not disas-
semble the lower pulley assembly.
