Wall mounting

Fitthewall-mountedstorageheatersPSH30-200TMwiththewater
connectionsatthebottominafrost-proofroomnexttotheconnection
point.
Thematerialsusedtomounttheappliancemustbeselectedaccording
tothestrengthofthewall.Thecombinedweightofthestorageheaters
andtheirwaterfilling(seethetable“Technicalspecifications”)mustbe
takenintoconsideration.
ThepositionofthescrewsrequiredforinstallationisshowninFigure

Dependingontheappliancetype,themountingbracketsforvertical
installationareanintegralpartofthestorageheater.

Water connection

Theappliancemustbeconnectedtothewatersystembyanauthorised
specialisttechnician,takingtheapplicableinstallationinstructionsand
therelevantstandardsandregulationsintoconsideration.
Thewaterconnectionisclosed(pressure-proof)andsuppliesseveral
drawingpoints.
Thewall-mountedstoragewaterheaterissuitableforconnectionto
plasticpipesystems.
Informationonconnectingtoplasticpipesystems:Intheeventofmal-
functions,temperaturesofupto95°C(max.0.6MPa)canoccur.Any
plasticpipesusedmustbedesignedfortheseconditions.

Risk of damage! If the water pressure is higher than 5 bar, a
pressure reducer must be fitted in the cold‑water supply line.

Caution: The appliance is under pressure. During the heating
process, expansion water will drip from the safety valve. If

water continues to drip when heating is completed, please inform
your contractor.

Beforeconnectingthestorageheatertothewaterpipe,rinseoutthe
pipethoroughlytopreventanyforeignobjectsfromenteringthestorage
heaterorthesafetyequipment.Itisrecommendedtoinstallthestorage
heaterinthewayshowninFigure

together with an approved diaphragm safety valve.

Thesafetyinformationgivenintheinstallationinstructionsforthedia-
phragmsafetyvalvemustbeobserved.
Regularlycheckthefunctionofthesafetyvalve.
Thesafetyvalveprotectsthestorageheaterfromexcessiveincreasesin
pressure.ThePSH...TMstorageheatersarefittedwithasafetyvalve
withoutnon-returnvalve.Thesafetyvalvemustbeactuatedatregular
intervalstopreventitfromjammingasaresultoffurring(limedepo-
sits).
Thedripping-wateroutletofthesafetyvalvemustalwaysremainopen
totheatmosphere.
Thedripping-wateroutletmustbeconnectedtoadownward-pointing
drainpipewhichensuresunobstructeddrainageofthewater.

Filling:
» Afterconnectingthestorageheater,openthestopvalve.
» Thenopenthehot-watertap.Thestorageheaterisfullwhenwater

isdischargedfromthehot-watertap.

» Thenclosetheoutlettapandcheckthesystemforleaks.

Risk of damage! Never connect the storage heater to the elec‑
trical power supply without first checking whether the storage

heater is actually filled with water.

Keeptheseinstructionsinasafeplace.Handthemovertothenew
owneriftheappliancechangeshands.Makethemavailabletothefitter
whenanymaintenanceworkorrepairsarecarriedout.

Temperature Selection

Thewatertemperaturecanbeadjustedasrequiredusingthetempe-
ratureselectionknob.Thetemperatureselectionknobislocatedonthe
lowercover(seeFigure

1

).

Withlowhot-waterconsumptionorwithveryhardwater,itisrecom-
mendedtoselecttheenergy-savingsetting“

E”(approx.55to60°C).

Theappliancereheatsautomaticallyatcertainintervalsorwhenhot
waterisdrawn.

Itisonlyadvisabletodisconnectthestorageheaterfromthepower
supplyifitistoremainunusedforarelativelylongperiodoftime.Heat
lossisminimisedbythehigh-qualityheat-insulationmaterialmadeof
polyurethanefoam.

Risk of frost: The appliance is only protected from frost when
it has a power supply. If the appliance is disconnected from

the power supply, the cylinder should be drained where there is a
risk of frost. The safety assembly and water pipe are not protected.
