Assigning a Default Softphone has the following benefits:
• Informs Calisto 800 where to send the digits dialed on the keypad; this is especially useful if
more than one softphone is active on the same computer.
• Enables Spokes software to capture Call Log data for incoming and outgoing calls.”
First Time Skype Use - IMPORTANT
The first time Skype is launched after installing Spokes software you will see the following
displayed at the top of the Skype application, “PlantronicsURE.exe wants to use Skype”. To
enable Spokes to work with Skype, click “Allow access”.

If “Allow access” is not selected, you will not be prompted again for access permission and
your Spokes software will not work with Calisto 800. If this happens and you wish to grant
Spokes software permission after missing the prompt above, see the
Troubleshooting -
Software section.
