7.1 Installation

The alarm switchgear must be installed in a dry, splash-proof and flood-proof
place. The site must also be protected from direct sunlight.
Install the mini-float switch in the relevant place so that the alarm is triggered
if the emergency level is reached:

Remove the transport protection (protective film) from the mini-float switch.
WARNING! Danger of electric shock
Pull out the mains plug before opening the equipment.
If, for installation purposes, it is necessary to disconnect the mini-float switch
cable from the alarm switchgear, proceed as follows:

• Undo the 4 screws on the bottom of the housing and remove the top of the

housing.

• Remove the strain relief for the mini-float switch cable.
• Disconnect the cable from the connecting terminals.
• Lay the loose cable end accordingly and connect it again via the connecting ter-

minals.

• Refit the strain relief and close the housing.

7.1.1 Extending the cable to the mini-float switch

The cable between the housing and the mini-float switch can be extended up
to a length of 100 m max.
NOTE: A cable cross-section of 2x0.75mm² is recommended. To avoid interfer-
ence, do not lay in the vicinity of live cables.

7.2 Electrical connection

WARNING! Danger of electric shock
The electrical connection must be made by an electrical engineer approved
by the local energy utility in accordance with the local regulations in force
[e.g. VDE regulations].

• The electrical connection is made to a 230 VAC earthed socket
• The type of current and voltage of the mains connection must match those

specified on the type plate

• Provide a socket fuse on the mains side (max. 16 A, slow) and also an FI safety

switch in accordance with the regulations in force
