Nav (Navigation) Alarms

Use the Nav sub tab to set navigational alarms including anchor drag, arrival, and off course.

The Nav sub tab contains the following alarms:

Anchor Drag—sets an alarm to sound when a specified drift distance is

exceeded. Enter a value in the distance field, and use the control field to

turn the alarm on and off.

Arrival—sets an alarm to sound when a specified distance or time away

from a destination waypoint is exceeded. Enter a distance, radius, or time

for sounding the alarm, and use the control field to set the alarm to Off,

Dist (distance), or Time.

Off Course—sets an alarm to sound when you are off course by a specific

distance. Enter a distance in the distance field, and use the control field to

turn the alarm on and off.

Sonar Alarms

Use the Sonar sub tab to set sonar alarms including shallow or deep water,

water temperature, and fish.*

The Sonar sub tab contains the following alarms:

Shallow Water/Deep Water—sets an alarm to sound when you enter

an area of specified depth that is too shallow or too deep. You must be

receiving sonar data for this function to work.

Water Temperature—sets an alarm to sound when the transducer reports

a temperature either above, below, inside, or outside the specified values.

Fish —sets an alarm to sound when the unit detects a fish of the specified

symbols.

*You must be receiving NMEA sonar data or using a GSD 21 or GSD 22 for the sonar alarms

to function.

Weather Alarms

Use the Weather sub tab to set weather alarms, including marine, tornado, severe

storm, flood, and flash flood warnings.**

**You must have a GDL 30/30A Satellite Weather Receiver connected to your

GPSMAP 3205 for weather alarms to function.
