CKW Battery Option Kit

Visible Differences

There are minor differences seen when operating only from battery power.
1. At power on, the display will include the message “On bAt”.
2. The initial power on display will cycle through each display section

individually rather then turning on all at one time.

3. The Bar Graph menu will show fewer segments during the brightness level

adjustment.

4. The Sleep mode is indicated with a flashing decimal point rather then by a

continuous decimal point.

Extending Battery Run Time with Sleep and Auto-Off Modes

Sleep Mode:
Because the display usually consumes most of the power from the system,
switching off the display when not required will significantly increase the run time
of the batteries. The Sleep mode temporarily turns off most of the display
segments when there is a lack of activity for a specified number of minutes. The
time selected for the Sleep mode may be consistent with the maximum time a user
needs to view new weighing results on the display while not physically interacting
with the system. The minimum setting is 1 minute.

Auto-Off Mode:
Use of the Auto-Off mode will conserve the most battery power. However, unlike
the Sleep mode, use of the Auto-Off requires that the system be powered back on
each time.
