1. Place the probe tip on or near the circuit or unit to be tested. The probe

tip lights and you hear a beep to indicate the presence of an AC voltage
from 100 to 600 VAC.

2. To find a break in a hot conductor, trace the wire until the signal stops.

To find a break in a neutral conductor, connect a load between the hot
and neutral, and then trace the wire until the signal stops.

3. Press the on/off button to use the flashlight.

Note that this tool will not detect voltages on armoured cables, or
on cables behind panels, in metallic enclosures, etc.

4. Battery Insertion/Replacement

1. Disconnect the tool from the circuit.
2. Gently lift the pocket clip while pulling the cap.

3. Insert the included batteries or replace the batteries with an exact

equivalent. Respect the polarity.

4. Slide the cap back on the tool to close.

Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they
may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local
regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

Remove the battery if the device will not be used for a long time. Old
batteries can begin to leak and damage the device.
