General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

If you are desoldering a printed circuit board: place the board on a flat, dry surface with the component
side faceup. Make sure the board lies perfectly flat. The heat gun can also melt solder on nearby
components you were not planning to remove. If the board is not perfectly flat, these components can get
dislodged from their positions as their solder softens.

Do not keep the heat gun on and pointed at the components for more than one minute at a time, as the
heat may damage the board and components.

4.

Operation

1. Plug the power cord into a power source.
2. Allow the nozzle to warm up for approx. 5 min.
3. Press the plunger [1] until you hear a clicking sound.
4. Place the tip of the nozzle against the solder you wish to

remove.

5. When the solder melts, press the button [2] on the handle

and the solder will be absorbed.
