1. Safety Instructions
General
x This face shield does not provide unlimited eye protection. Read the
instructions com ple te ly before use .
x This face shield has been designed for your personal safety. They
m ust be worn for the whole duration of ex posure to hazards.
x The face shield is suited for protection against moderate impact
hazards but is NO T unbreak able .
x This face shield has no filtering action and does not protect against
molten me tal splashe s, hot solids or e le ctrical hazard.
x Keep the user instructions for future reference.
Health
x Always check with supervisory personnel to ensure you are being
given prope r prote ction re lative to work ing conditions. Consult the
applicable European standards.
x Leave the work area if dizziness or irritation occurs, or if the face
shie ld be comes damaged.
x The materials which may come into contact with the wearer’s skin
can cause alle rgic re actions to susce ptible individuals.

x Do not repair or modify any component of the face shield.
x A pitted or scratched lens reduces vision and seriously reduces
prote ction. Do not use the shield any longe r.

The face shie ld com plies with the requirem ents of the European
Dire ctive 89/686/CEE annex II by me ans of the European Standards
EN166:2001 "Pe rsonal e ye-prote ction - Spe cifications" or EN1731:2007
"Pe rsonal e ye prote ction - Mesh e ye and face prote ctors".
3. Field of use
The face shie ld is designe d to prote ct the use r against e ye injurie s
through me chanical im pact. The face shie ld is marke d on the brow
prote ction and vizor with a se rie s of num be rs and sym bols to indicate
the manufacture r, the fie ld of use , the prote ction capabilitie s and
pe rformance characte ristics of the shie ld. The mark ing on the vizor and
on the frame have the following me aning:

4. Cleaning a nd Ma intena nce
To maintain the face shield in good condition:
x Inspect regularly for damage.
x Do not repair or modify any component of the face shield.
x Do not use abrasive materials. Clean and rinse in warm soapy water
and dry with a soft cloth.
x Any part of the face shield which is in contact with the wearer shall
be disinfe cte d with alcohol.
x When not in use, it is recommended to store the face shield in a
cle an and dry plastic bag.

1. Veilighe ids instr ucties
A lgemeen
x Deze gezichtsbescherming biedt geen onbeperkte bescherming. Lees
de handle iding volledig vóór gebruik .
x Deze gezichtsbescherming is ontworpen voor uw eigen veiligheid.
Draag de be sche rm ing zolang u aan he t ge vaar bent blootgeste ld.
x De gezichtsbescherming beschermt tegen gematigde schokken maar
is NIET onbreek baar.
x Deze gezichtsbescherming heeft geen filtrerende actie en biedt geen
besche rm ing tegen gesmolten pelle ts, he te vaste voorwe rpe n en
e lek trisch ge vaar.
x Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.
Gezondheid
x Overleg steeds met het veiligheidspersoneel of uw
ve ilighe idsuitrusting ge schik t is voor de we rk omstandighede n.

x Verlaat de werkplaats in het geval van duizeligheid of irritatie, of

x Het materiaal dat direct in contact komt met de huid van de drager

Wijzigingen
x Herstel of wijzig de gezichtsbescherming niet.
x Een lens met putten en krassen vermindert het gezicht en de
besche rm ingsgraad aanzienlijk. Ge bruik de gezichtsbe sche rm ing nie t

3. Gebruik
De gezichtsbe sche rm ing biedt besche rm ing tege n oogle tsels door

4. Reiniging en onderho ud
Om de ge zichtsbesche rm ing in goede staat te be houden:
x Controleer regelmatig op beschadigingen.
x Herstel of wijzig de gezichtsbescherming niet.
x Gebruik geen schuurmiddelen. Reinig en spoel af in warm
zeepwate r. Droog af m e t een zachte doek .
x Ontsmet elk onderdeel dat direct met de drager in contact is
gekom en me t alcohol.
x Het is aangeraden om de gezichtsbescherming na elk gebruik te
be ware n in ee n prope re en droge plastic zak.

pas contre les proje ctions de mé taux fondus, solides chauds ou

4. Nettoyage et entret ien
Pour m ainte nir l'é cran facial dans de bonne s conditions :
x Inspecter régulièrement l’écran facial.
x Ne pas réparer ou modifier l'écran facial.
x Ne pas utiliser de matériels abrasifs. Nettoyer et rincer dans de l’eau
savonneuse tiède , e t sé che r ave c un tissu doux .
x Toute partie de l’écran facial entrée en contact avec l'utilisateur doit
ê tre bie n dé sinfe ctée ave c de l’alcool.
x Lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé, il est conseillé de stocker l'écran facial
dans un sac e n plastique propre e t se c.
