4. Operation

Press the button on the transmitter to make the chime sound. You can also use the device as a pager or panic
switch: remove the receiver from its mounting location and carry it around with you (max. distance to transmitter =
200ft or 60m). Third parties simply need to press the button on the transmitter to get your attention.

Note: Certain materials in the mounting surface may limit the DB1's transmission range. This also goes for

obstructions such as walls or metal cabinets. Do not attach the DB1 to metal surfaces.

5. Maintenance

The wireless remote door chime is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will
help you keep the door chime in perfect condition, allowing you to enjoy it for many years to come.

Do not expose the device to water and wipe it immediately if it gets wet. Certain liquids contain minerals that can
cause the electronic circuits to corrode.

Use and store the door chime only in normal temperature environments. Extreme temperatures can shorten the
life of your DB1 and they can damage the batteries and reform the housing.

Handle the door chime with care. Dropping it can damage the circuit boards and can cause the door chime to
work improperly.

Protect the door chime from dust and dirt since they may cause certain parts to wear prematurely.

Wipe the door chime occasionally with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use cleaning solvents or
strong detergents to clean the chime.

Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove old or weak batteries to avoid
leakage of chemicals that can destroy electronic circuits.

Modifying or tampering with the door chime's internal components may cause a malfunction, which automatically
voids your warranty. Do not open the housing yourself: all repairs and maintenance activities should be handled
by a qualified technician.
