6. Operation

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
• Make sure batteries are present inside the solar power meter. Refer to §8.

• Press the power button [4] to switch the power meter on. Press again to

switch off.

• Check the measured value with the protective cap on the sensor [1]. The

display must read 00.0. If not, gently rotate the zero adjust [2] until it
does.

• Remove the protective cap from the sensor [1]. Place the sensor

horizontally to measure the solar power.

• Select the desired measuring unit (W/m² or BTU/ft²xh) with the unit

select button [5].
Note: BTU = British Thermal Unit

• When the display indicates ‘OL’, select the appropriate measuring range

with the range button [6].

• To freeze the measured value on the display, press the HOLD button [7].

The display indicates HOLD. Press again to exit hold mode.

• To show only the highest measured value, press the MIN/MAX button [8].

The display indicates MAX. To see only the lowest measured value, press
the button again. The display shows MIN. Press and hold the MIN/MAX

button [8] for about 3 seconds to return to normal mode.

• Press the backlight button [9] to switch the backlight on or off.

• After measuring, place the protective cap back on the sensor.

7. Maintenance

Gently wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use

alcohol or solvents. Do not apply pressure on the display.

Never submerge the solar power meter in any liquid.
