4. Features

5. Use

Refer to the illustrations on pages 2 and 3 of this manual.
• Remove the sensor cover [1] by releasing the screw at the back of the

device and sliding the cover upwards.

• Press the ON/OFF button to switch the device on. Press and hold ±2s to

switch it off.

• The device powers off automatically after ±20min. To disable auto-power

off, press and hold the Hold/Light button while switching the device on.
The display will show AP OFF. Press the Hold/Light button again to

confirm. To re-enable auto-power off simply switch the device off and on
again.

• Press the Unit button multiple times to scroll through the different

measuring units [F, G]:

• Press the Mode button to display only the highest measured values (see

indicator [E]). Press a second time to display the lowest measured

values. Press again to return to normal measuring mode.

• Press the Hold/Light button shortly to go into hold-mode [A]. The

current measurement remains on the display. Press again shortly to exit

hold-mode and return to normal measuring mode.

• Press and hold the Hold/Light button ±2s to switch on the backlight

[B]. Press and hold again ±2s to switch the backlight off.

• When the battery indicator [H] is shown, replace the batteries (see §8).

Always place the sensor cover [1] back when the device is not in use.

6. Operation tips

Do not touch the sensor [2] and keep the sensor away from possible

interfering sources e.g. a fan, heating element, body … Also, do not
expose the sensor to direct (sun)light as this will lead to false readings.

• Consider mounting the device on a tripod (not incl.) for longer and more

stable measurements.

• Make sure the device is at ambient temperature for accurate

measurements.

• Remove the batteries when the device is not used for a long time.
